Cane and Lily are soon trying to make out the baby on the screen as the technician performs the ultrasound. Is that the baby? Lily asks. When the tech hurries out, Lily worries - why she didn%26#039;t answer the question?
When the doctor comes back, she reports Lily%26#039;s not pregnant - it was an anembryonic pregnancy - the sac develops in the womb but it%26#039;s empty - an abnormality stopped the embryo from developing - 30% of pregnancies result in miscarriage - the test picked up the hormones. I felt pregnant, Lily%26#039;s bewildered (as Cane hugs her) - I don%26#039;t understand.
This is a spoiler I found-- why do a storyline like this that lasts two weeks? Makes no sense, where%26#039;s this lead?
Y%26amp;R-- Lily%26#039;s not preggers (Spolier/opinions)?
Wow...that is so strange....why would they do that?? I was just thinking how mature Lily was actually acting. The most mature thing I have seen her do in the last year was tell Cane NO i can%26#039;t marry you.
I didn%26#039;t think she was far enough along to have an ultrasound. I guess she is only what..2-2 %26amp;1/2 months? I thought they waited until you were about 4 months. I could be so wrong...I have been before and this is a soap opera after all....
IDK....this was a stupid thing to do. I guess they changed their minds about her being pregnant...(big sigh IJDK)
Reply:This is the first i am hearing something like this. I have heard of tubular pregnancy%26#039;s where the embryo - gets caught in the tube. But - never a pregnancy like this one. I really feel bad for lily and Kane now. It%26#039;s like - they were just starting to get use to having the baby. And - it turns out - that there is no baby at all. That is really heart wrenching.
Reply:OMG! I was just starting to get into the whole story of Lilly being pregnant.
If this is the case on Y%26amp;R, then I think it is a really lame way to end Lilly%26#039;s pregnancy.
Why end it anyway? Because she is young? Unmarried? Is there a moral to this whole story?

I am so sad for her.

Reply:i don%26#039;t know. maybe now she can keep her career and then plan to get pregnant the next time. i was hoping she was pregnant though. they always drag out all the storylines, sometimes it seems like forever and a day before you find out something.
Reply:I think its a way to show that Lily chose to have the baby rather than have an abortion, that she was going to do the right thing.
Reply:Yeah...I kind of knew that Lily would not carry the baby to term. It really didn%26#039;t make any sense to make her pregnant at this time...Maybe this is supposed to make them stronger as a couple.
