I don%26#039;t mean in the same hole.

Can I plant a Calla lily and a Bella Donna lily side by side?
sorry ladies, calla %26amp; bella side by side is NOT a good idea. the AMARYLLIS belladonna is a native to south africa. performs best with warm, dry summers, well drained soil is a must have %26amp; gets all the water it needs from winter rains. the ZANTEDESCHIA or Calla lily Z. aethiopica, is also a native from south africa, but from ahole different neighborhood. completely different cultural needs then the belladonna. calla thrives in moist, even boggy soil all year. while belladonna is warm%26#039;n her buns in the warm summer sun, calla gets overheated and needs some protection from the sun. if you give calla the moisture it needs to thrive, belladonna will rot in the ground. you give bella the warm dry summer sun she requires to thrive, calla is going to cook and die.

just %26#039;cause someone hangs a lable on you doesn%26#039;t make it so. a lily doesn%26#039;t have to be a lily, to be a lily. understand? don%26#039;t plant um together. not even close.
Reply:Sure - I%26#039;ve got lots of lillies all planted in one garden. They bloom at different times and keep the garden looking nice.
Reply:I don%26#039;t see why not, they%26#039;re both lilies...it%26#039;s not like you%26#039;re acutally planting real Bella Donna (which is a completely different plant and poisonous...)
